Carol O'Driscoll was the wife of Phineas O'Driscoll. She is a main character in Series 1 and 2 of Westside.

Biography[]

Carol O'Driscoll met and married Phineas O'Driscoll some time after 1967.[1]

1970s[]

When fellow crime wife Ngaire Munroe caught her husband Lefty cheating on her, she hatched a plan with Carol and Rita West, wife of Ted, to secure themselves crime wife insurance in case they lost their men. In Christmas 1970, the wives made away with each their share of krugerrands at the Smith & Caughey's job, while their men were caught on the scene by the police and sent to prison because someone ratted them out.[2]

Later life[]

Eggs Salad. At some point, Carol re-married and had three children with her new husband. Phineas had a stroke and ended up in a chair in a nursing home, unable to speak.

Private Detective Wayne Judd spoke to Carol on behalf of Ted West, who was looking to find out the identity of the father of Rita's bastard child, and Carol revealed to Judd that Phineas was shooting blanks and was unable to father a child.[3]

Personality and traits[]

Carol was a sentimental, nervous and insecure person, at times referring to herself as a twerp. She was clumsy and distracted, often messing up her cooking.

She was desperate to become a mother, but it never happened with Phineas.
